Monhegan Lighthouse

For more than a century Monhegan Island has been a destination and inspiration for artists. I was lucky enough to spend one week a year there for at least 10 years. The lighthouse is on the highest point on the island and a good place to view the sunset. I loved the late afternoon light on this scene....

The Chesapeake and Ohio Canal

My husband and I took a bike trip along the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal. We rode along the trail that had been used by the mules pulling the barges and the men who drove them. This is a view of the trail passing under a hill. This painting celebrates my memories of that trip....
